We may still be in the full grip of winter, but at least the days are getting a little longer and the dark nights that bit shorter. And during February, there's lots to look forward to. This month sees Valentine's Day - a chance to tell our loved one(s) just how much they mean to us. Some chocolates, flowers or fizz always goes down well too... see the growing range of goodies in-store - guaranteed to earn you double 'brownie points'.
Fairtrade Fortnight kicks off from Monday, 22nd February - a celebration of fairly-traded produce from all over the world. This year's theme is "What's your swap" - a campaign that encourages us to swap a non-Fairtrade product for a Fairtrade one. We all know that 'every little helps' - but it's who it helps most that's the important thing. So join in and swap a product or two. At Earthy, we've always supported Fairtrade - from our organic bananas to teas and coffees to dried goods, olive oils and chocolates. So you'll have no problem finding something new to try that gives a little more back to the hard-working people who produce it. Stay tuned for more details about special Fairtrade offers, visits from guest producers and in-store tastings.

So get your cookery books out, roll up your sleeves and get baking, roasting, marmalade making or simply cook-up a delicious supper for two. From the freshest, local and organic veg and fruit to free-range and organic meat and eggs, to locally hand-crafted chocolates, our shelves are groaning with the widest range of Scottish and UK artisan produce you'll find. And by supporting us, you'll also be supporting over 100 hard-working Scottish producers - many of them local and organic.
Our small but perfectly-formed cafe area - yum - is a great place to sit, relax and enjoy a Fairtrade tea, coffee, bite to eat and soak up the relaxed atmosphere. It's the perfect venue to meet friends, have a chinwag and enjoy the best local produce around.
