With a career in marketing spanning over 20 years, Dirk longed for a change from the daily routine of “trying to convince people to buy stuff they didn’t really need.” Instead, he decided to make his living by doing something he believed in.

A life-long love of cooking convinced him that his future lay with food, and three years' hard work later, including a year helping at a local organic farm, his idea of Earthy finally turned into a reality.
